Import your products to Bazaarak
Moving from Shopify, Etsy, Amazon or another platform? Upload the product file your old platform already exports. Bazaarak maps the columns for you, copies your photos, and keeps every product hidden until you review and publish it. Importing is included in every plan.
How it works
- Export your products from your old platform (see the table below), or fill in the Bazaarak template.
- In your store admin, open Import products (sidebar), or use Import on the Products page or the import card in Settings.
- Upload the file. Bazaarak recognises the platform, the language of your text and your store type.
- Check the preview. Choose which products go online, which are in-store only and which to leave out, add missing categories, and decide what to do with products you already have.
- Import, review and publish. Each product shows what is still missing. When you are ready, Publish ready products makes every complete product visible.
Where to find your export file
| Platform | What to download | Where to find it |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify | Products CSV | Products → Export → All products → CSV for Excel or plain CSV |
| Etsy | Listings CSV | Shop Manager → Settings → Options → Download data → Download CSV |
| Amazon | All Listings Report (text file) | Seller Central → Inventory → Inventory reports → All Listings Report |
| Other platforms | Any product spreadsheet | Any CSV with a title (or name) and a price column. Photos, SKU, stock, brand and barcode are picked up when present. |
| Spreadsheet | Bazaarak template | Download it on the Import products page. It has the right columns for your store type, plus columns for French, Arabic and Spanish text. |
Import first, then open the Products page. If it says some products “still use images from your old store”, click Copy images to Bazaarak, or upload those photos again.
Frequently asked questions
Does importing products cost anything?
No. Product import is included in every plan, including the free Starter plan. Your plan’s product limits still apply — see Plans & pricing.
Do I need to give Bazaarak my Shopify, Etsy or Amazon password?
No. You download the product file from your old platform and upload it to Bazaarak. Nothing connects to your old store, and no passwords or API keys are needed.
Which files can I import?
The Shopify product CSV, the Etsy listings CSV, the Amazon All Listings Report, any product spreadsheet with a title (or name) and price column, and the Bazaarak template. CSV, TSV and TXT files are accepted. Order or purchase history files are not product lists, so they are refused.
How many products can I import at once?
Up to 2,000 products per file. A file can have up to 50,000 rows — for example one row per colour or size — and rows that belong to the same product are combined into one product with up to 100 options.
What if I have more products than my plan allows?
Before importing, you choose product by product what goes online, what is in-store only, and what is not imported. Search, Select all and “Make selected in-store only” help with long lists. Bazaarak never imports more online products than your plan has room for.
| Plan | Online products | In-store only products |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | 5 | 10 |
| Pro | 25 | 50 |
| Pro+ | 50 | 99 |
Standard plan limits. Your store’s exact room is shown on the Import products page.
Will imported products go live right away?
No. Imported products are hidden from your shop and the marketplace until you publish them. The Products page shows a banner and a “Needs details” filter, and each product lists what is missing.
What do I need to fill in before publishing?
Required: a name, a price above zero, at least one photo for online products, and a label for each option. Services also need a service type and a duration. Everything else — translations, description, category, stock and details such as allergens or dimensions — is suggested but never blocks publishing.
What happens to my product photos?
Bazaarak copies up to three photos per product into its own storage, so they keep working after you close your old store. If a photo cannot be copied, the original link is kept and you can retry later with Copy images to Bazaarak. In-store only products keep their original photo links.
Are product options (sizes, colours) kept?
Yes. Each option keeps its own price, compare-at price, stock and SKU. For store types that don’t use options (services, art, gifts and general), you choose to create a separate product for each option or keep only the first one.
My products are in French, Arabic or Spanish. Is that supported?
Yes. Bazaarak detects English, French, Arabic and Spanish (you can also choose the language yourself) and saves the text in that language. Products without English show their imported name to shoppers. Nothing is translated automatically — you can add translations later in the product editor.
What about categories?
Products are matched to your shop’s categories by name. Categories you don’t have yet are listed in the preview: you can create them in one step, keep or change the suggested picture, and the products are linked automatically.
Which product type will my products get?
The type comes from the store type you chose when you created your store (for example Retail, Food or Art), so the right fields are filled. You can change an individual product’s type later in the product editor.
My file uses another currency. Are prices converted?
No. Prices are imported exactly as they are in the file. If the file’s currency differs from your store’s, the preview warns you so you can adjust prices before publishing.
Is stock imported?
Yes, when your file includes it. Etsy does not export stock per option, so those products are flagged to set stock for each option. The Amazon report usually has no photos, so you will be asked to add them.
What if I import the same file twice?
Products with the same SKU, or that were imported before, are recognised. You choose to skip them or update them with the file’s details (their status and photos are kept).
Can I undo an import?
Yes. On the Import products page, Past imports lists each import with an Undo button. Undo deletes the products that import created and their copied photos. Existing products that the import only updated are not changed.
Can I import later, after my store is set up?
Yes, at any time. Open Import products in your store admin sidebar, use Import on the Products page, or the import card in Settings.
Who can help me with my import?
Email sellers@bazaarak.ca or use the Contact page. Tell us which platform you are moving from and we will help.
