Bazaarak is a Canadian marketplace at bazaarak.ca, built to bring independent shops together so Canadian shoppers can discover local and coast-to-coast products—by category, bazaar, or region—while each store keeps its own brand, cart, and checkout.
Meet the founder
Omar Khesruf
Founder of Bazaarak
Omar Khesruf is the founder of Bazaarak. With a background in software development, he spent time speaking with small-business owners, listening to their day-to-day needs, and researching how local shops and shoppers find each other online.
What he heard was consistent: there was no clear place connecting Canadian small businesses with people looking for Canadian products from local shops. Without that bridge, owners lost sales they might otherwise have made—and shoppers struggled to discover what was available nearby or across the country.
Those conversations and that research shaped Bazaarak: a tool and marketplace designed to ease the work of running a store—catalog, orders, and checkout—while making it simpler and more enjoyable for shoppers to find Canadian products from independent local shops.
Omar’s goal is straightforward: help store owners keep most of what they earn. Platform fees are kept modest compared with many marketplace models. You can see live plan details on Plans & pricing and how fees work on Merchant fees.
For shoppers
- Browse stores and products across the marketplace.
- Pay securely by card where the store has completed payment onboarding, or use store-offered methods such as Interac e-Transfer when available.
- Track orders in Your account.
- Need help after a purchase? Start with Order help.
For store owners
- Open a store and manage catalog, orders, returns, and settings from Store admin.
- Accept online card payments after completing payment provider onboarding.

- Read the Seller terms before you list.
- Starter shops that go roughly three months without sales may be auto-deactivated; keep selling or upgrade to stay listed.
How we work
Bazaarak is a marketplace platform. Unless we clearly sell an item ourselves, each Seller is responsible for listings, pricing, taxes on their sales, fulfillment, and customer service. We provide discovery, accounts, carts, checkout integrations, and Store admin tools that connect shoppers and Sellers across Canada.
Trust & safety
We review reports of fraud, prohibited goods, misuse of the platform, and policy violations. Shoppers follow our Terms of use; Sellers follow our Seller terms. Privacy practices are described in our Privacy policy. Report concerns to trust@bazaarak.ca.
Bazaarak hosts independent shops. If a dispute between a shopper and a store cannot be resolved, we may try to help as a facilitator—but we are not responsible for the outcome, we are not a party to that dispute, and we will not join related legal proceedings. The purchase contract remains between the shopper and the Seller.
