Payment & platform fees

See current Starter / Pro / Pro+ amounts on Plans & pricing (live from the platform). This page explains fee types; your store’s assigned rates are on Your store fees.

1. Platform plan fees

Bazaarak platform fees are separate from card network processing. Typical plan structure:

Live plan amounts (setup, monthly, platform %, catalog caps) are shown on Plans & pricing. Your administrator may still assign a different plan or override rates for your store.

1b. Starter inactivity (auto-deactivate)

Stores on the Starter plan that complete no sales (no online or in-store order activity) for about three months / 90 days by default may be automatically unlisted and deactivated. Logging into Store admin does not count as a transaction. Merchants usually see a warning before the deadline. Pro and Pro+ stores are not closed under this Starter rule. Details: Seller terms §6. To reopen, email sellers@bazaarak.ca.

2. Online card processing

Card payments are processed by licensed partners. You must complete merchant onboarding (identity, bank account, and consent) before card checkout is enabled. Current processing rates below update live when platform administrators change them under Store plans → Processing:

Your store may have custom rates. After you sign in, confirm amounts on Your store fees. The Fees & earnings calculator in Store admin uses the rates assigned to your store for estimates.

3. What customers pay

Shoppers pay the prices you set, plus tax and shipping or pickup fees where you configure them. Card processing and platform fees are deducted from the merchant/payout side—they are not shown as a separate “platform fee” line to the customer unless you build that into your pricing.

4. Tax on fees and on sales

You are responsible for GST/HST/QST (and other taxes) on your product sales. Platform subscription or service fees charged by Bazaarak may also be taxable; follow the invoices or statements you receive. This page is not tax advice—speak with your accountant if unsure.

5. Payouts

Payout timing follows your payment processor and linked Canadian bank account. Bazaarak does not hold shopper card funds in a separate wallet; settlements flow through the processor under their underwriting and banking rules.

6. Other payment methods

If you offer Interac e-Transfer or cash/other in-store methods, those payments are between you and the customer (or handled in Store admin for in-store sales). Any bank e-Transfer fees are between you and your bank.

7. Questions & changes

Fee schedules and plan assignments may change with notice. Material changes to your store’s rates are communicated by the platform. Questions: sellers@bazaarak.ca.
