> Bazaarak is a Canadian marketplace at bazaarak.ca, built to bring independent shops together so Canadian shoppers can discover local and coast-to-coast products—while each store keeps its own brand, cart, and checkout.

## Founder

Omar Khesruf is the founder of Bazaarak. With a background in software development, he spoke with small-business owners, listened to their day-to-day needs, and researched how local shops and shoppers find each other online.

There was no clear place connecting Canadian small businesses with people looking for Canadian products from local shops. Without that bridge, owners lost sales they might otherwise have made—and shoppers struggled to discover what was available nearby or across the country.

Those conversations and that research shaped Bazaarak: a tool and marketplace designed to ease catalog, orders, and checkout for store owners, and to make finding Canadian products from independent local shops simpler and more enjoyable.
